CSTF Statutory and Mandatory Training
All healthcare workers, whether employed on a full time or part-time basis, through an agency or contract bank staff, are required to complete periodic refresher training.
One of the main aims of the CSTF framework is to prevent unnecessary duplication of training. This is achieved through the accurate recording of training undertaken using a recognised naming convention and the delivery of standardised programmes.

Immediate Life Support
The QA Level 4 Award in Immediate Life Support (RQF)
This is ideal for those who have a responsibility at work, or in community or voluntary activities to provide emergency care to patients, such as event medical providers, emergency ambulance personnel, registered healthcare professionals and those working in specialist roles within the emergency services and military. During this 1-day course, Learners will develop the necessary skills associated with immediate life support, including: airway management, patient assessment, management of major illness/injury, post-incident procedures, Managing the Return of Spontaneous Circulation (RoSC), patient handovers and more.

Moving and Handling Courses
The QA Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who work, or intend to work, in a role that involves assisting and moving people. It is ideal for those working in a variety of health and social care environments such as care homes. Over a 2-day period, Learners will develop the knowledge and skills relevant to manual handling of objects and the safe moving and handling of people. Topics covered include common handling injuries, the potential impact to a person if moved incorrectly, personal handling plans, preserving dignity, health and safety when moving a person, using equipment and more. The QA Level 2 Award in Principles and Practice of Moving People Safely (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who work, or intend to work, in a role that involves assisting and moving people. This 1-day course will provide Learners with the knowledge and skills required to move people safely whilst ensuring that the risk of personal harm is reduced, and that health and dignity are retained. Topics covered include: the importance of safe manual handling, manual handling risk assessments, personal handling plans, the anatomy of the spine and mechanics of movement, unsafe manoeuvres and much more.
